The FWFP tool is built by the team at QCONZ. We have been helping businesses in the primary sector assure the quality of their products over past 25 years. We are the proud proprietors of the most modern, tested, and experienced suite of primary sector quality assurance products and services in New Zealand.
We train – designing and delivering bespoke skills training programmes across the primary industry.
We check – our experienced team of accredited auditors check processes on-farm and in factory to ensure quality standards are met (and with over 30,000 farm and factory visits per year; we have gotten pretty good at it!).
We build software – we have a team of clever software developers who can take our extensive farm and audit knowledge and experience and turn it into timesaving and value-adding tools – like the FWFP.

Justin Moss
GM Information Technology
Is there anything this man cannot do? Software developer, musician, author, sailor, the list goes on. Justin has led the charge on the FWFP tool development. As a result, he quite possibly knows more about regional freshwater farm planning requirements than anybody!
Richard Wernke
IT Support/Analyst
You know when something’s not working, you call a support line, and they diagnose and fix your problem in a calm and competent manner? You then get off the call feeling like you’ve just won the lottery. Richard is one of those guys. And if you need to shift your grand piano, Richard is a handy guy to have around.
Nic Tauora
IT/Support Analyst
Whether it’s drifting cars, flying drones, running CNC machines, racing BMX, or making software do clever things, Nic is all in. Providing IT Support for customers and staff, technical support for QCONZ applications, and some data analysis thrown in for good measure, Nic brings new meaning to the word versatile!
Josh Wheeler
Chief Operating Officer
Josh has been around about as long as QCONZ. He has forgotten more than most people will ever know about farm QA in New Zealand. His knowledge has been sought in Australia, Brazil, Chile, Indonesia, Philippines, Argentina, Myanmar and Tanzania – which makes him pretty much the best person in the world to guide the design of the FWFP tool. He can also cycle really long distances.
Natasha Creagh
Comms & Admin Queen
Natasha is one of those people who you can throw just about anything at, and she’ll get it done. Obviously, we don’t ask her to perform brain surgery or write code (similar domains for us!) but she turns her hand to many things. The FWFP swan made be elegantly sailing along, but only because she’s in the engine room powering the paddling! And she throws a mean frisbee.

Chris is our much-loved leader who gently steers the tiller and ensures we are pointing in the right direction. His extensive experience in primary sector adult learning, training development, and extension, makes him the ideal captain of the QCONZ vessel. Get to know him well and you realise there is a mischievous child lurking in an adult’s body!
